Movement for Kshama

an initiative of

United Front for a Workers Party

It's Time to Dump the Democrats

Join the Launch of Movement for Kshama

Both Democrats and Republicans have overseen war, genocide, ICE terror, climate catastrophe, and a spiraling cost-of-living crisis.

A majority of Americans know this. A record-breaking 62 percent of Americans say we need a new party. 58 percent disapprove of the Republicans’ job in Congress, and 73 percent disapprove of the Democrats.

So how do we break the billionaires’ two-party stranglehold?

Dump the Democrats and Republicans — Elect an Independent Socialist

Democrats and Republicans have sold workers out again and again.
“Progressive” Democrats like AOC and Zohran Mamdani have promised to “change” the Democratic Party. But instead of fighting the Democratic establishment, they prop it up. Mamdani has used his platform as NYC Mayor to endorse Democratic Party leader Hakeem Jeffries and corporate Governor Kathy Hochul.

“Pro-worker” and “anti-war” Republicans like Josh Hawley and Thomas Massie serve the same function for the Republican Party.

Workers need a clean break with both billionaire-backed parties.

Kshama Sawant is running the nation’s strongest independent socialist campaign for Congress. Kshama has a track record of fighting both corporate parties and winning victories for working people. She is running against a hated warmongering Democrat, Adam Smith, and has already raised over $400,000.

We need to elect Kshama to Congress as a first step towards building a new workers’ party that can elect independent working-class candidates nationwide.

Stop the sellouts! Unite labor and the left!

Union leaders have failed to break workers out of the two-
party trap. Union leaders routinely endorse corporate, warmongering  Democrats like Kshama’s opponent, Adam Smith.

The socialist movement is also a mess. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) now has over 100,000 members. But the DSA leadership has refused to break from the Democratic Party. The leadership of Seattle DSA has even refused to hold a vote on Kshama’s independent socialist campaign.

The Democratic and Republican Parties unite around their class interests: launching wars, funding ICE, sending billions to the Israeli state, and screwing over workers.

Socialists and working people need to unite around our class interests. We need to get organized to bring the socialist and labor movement into the fight to elect Kshama Sawant.

A working-class Super PAC

Kshama’s opponent, Democrat Adam Smith, has received over $500,000 from AIPAC. He is bankrolled by big corporations like Palantir, Lockheed Martin, and Microsoft. He is funded by billionaires like Alex Karp and Joe Lonsdale. The Democratic and Republican Parties have billions of dollars at their disposal. We need a war chest to fight back.

Movement for Kshama has launched a working-class Super PAC as a weapon AGAINST those billionaires and big corporations.

Our Super PAC is funded by working people. We will never  support any Democratic or Republican politician, or any other candidate of the bosses.

Build Neighborhood Action Groups — Get Organized to Win

Kshama can’t win this election alone.

That’s why Movement for Kshama is calling for working people to organize neighborhood action groups — not just to build Kshama’s campaign, but to build the movement against ICE; to support strikes, student walkouts, and unionization efforts; to build the fight against genocide and imperialist war; and to fight for all our demands.

If you live near Seattle, join our launch meeting on March 14 @ 2pm at Garfield Community Center, to begin building neighborhood action groups in Seattle.

We need a workers’ party!

Electing Kshama to Congress would be a massive blow to the Democratic and Republican Parties, and it would be a giant step towards a workers’ party.

We need a party that will run working-class candidates across the country, launch bold campaigns, and do what it takes to win historic victories like free healthcare for all — including mass rallies, mass civil disobedience, and mass strike action.

A workers’ party like this can only be built through struggle. We need to unite the most militant sections of the labor movement, the socialist movement, and the unorganized working class to fight for concrete demands and to build campaigns like Kshama’s, independent of the Democratic and Republican parties.
